This immensely popular work by an otherwise forgotten composer is a favorite among Gypsy and classical violinists alike.  Although rarely heard on the cello, Monti's Csárdás (or Czardas) can sound equally flashy on this instrument and the technical hurdles should not pose a problem to a capable cellist.
