Danish-German conductor-cellist Hans Erik Deckert has demonstrated an affinity in the past for older works of the Renaissance and early Baroque. His most recent work has produced a series of four chorale arrangements for cello ensemble from some of the most prolific composers of the age: Palestrina, Ockeghem, Praetorius, and Purcell.
