It is our pleasure to present a republished version of our interview with musical legend Norman Carol, former concertmaster of the Philadelphia Orchestra for nearly thirty years, as well as a couple featured scores from Mr. Carol's catalog of orchestral parts that he has edited for Ovation Press.

For the past few weeks on our blog String Visions we've been running a special multi-part series revolving around the work of Ovation Press composer Helmut Lipsky. The interview series consisted of four parts and a special score spotlight on Mr. Lipsky's violin duo suite Voyage à deux Volume 1 (Part 1, Part 2, Part 3) and Volume 2.
We have a real treat for you on our blog String Visions - an exclusive interview with editor Roland Pidoux. Mr. Pidoux shares with us some of his musical and professional experiences, as well as discussing his approach in creating two outstanding arrangements for cello ensemble: Rachmaninoff's Vocalise for Cello Octet and Fauré's Après un rêve for Cello Octet.
In the last few months we have been greatly expanding our catalog of cello ensemble scores, in no small part thanks to editors like Charles Jacot. Now, Mr. Jacot has collaborated with Ovation Press to publish our first arrangement for string trio: the Fugue from Le Tombeau de Couperin by Maurice Ravel.
