Dimitri Cervo

Dimitri Cervo (1968) is among the preeminent Brazilian composers. His compositions, which include Toro-Lobiana, Canauê, Pattapiana, and Abertura Brasil 2012, have been widely performed in Brazil and abroad. As a frequent piano performer and conductor of his own works, Cervo has collaborated with various ensembles and orchestras. His main musical education took place in Brazil, Italy (Sienna) and the USA (Seattle). He is currently an associate professor at UFRGS Music Department (Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul).
