The cello part for the overture to Benvenuto Cellini, by Hector Berlioz, has been edited by Frank Miller, who was principal cellist with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra for more than 20 years. Miller's bowings,
fingerings and other editorial markings have been added throughout the
score. Benvenuto Cellini was the first of Berlioz's operas. The story is loosely based on the memoirs of the Florentine sculptor Benvenuto Cellini.
Please note: Bowings have been marked throughout with fingerings for select passages.
