Ovation Press is currently featuring scores edited by Ruggiero Ricci. His debut in 1928 at the age of 10 in San Francisco playing a formidable programme of works by Vieuxtemps, Saint-Saens, Mendelssohn and Wieniawski, astounded the audience and started him on the road to early stardom. His consecration as a world class "wunderkind", one of the 20th century's few authentic prodigies, came in New York when the leading critic of the day wrote: "All that great violinists do, he did."

Recuerdos de la Alhambra by Francisco Tárrega for Violin Solo
The Ricci transcription is very true to the original composition and includes the famous guitar tremolo and use of left hand Pizzicati to bring out the melodic line.

Hungarian Melody by Franz Schubert for Violin and Piano
Schubert wrote this Hungarian dance for solo piano in September of 1824 after spending the second of two summers as a music tutor to Count Esterhazy's two young daughters at his home in Zseliz, Hungary which is now Zeliezovce, Slovakia. Ruggierro Ricci has arranged this piano standard for violin and piano.

La Cumparsita by Vicente Zito for Violin Solo
Published for the first time, this virtuosic violin solo was arranged by Vicente Zito in Mendoza, Argentina and edited by Ruggierro Ricci.

Nocturne in c-minor by Frédéric Chopin for Violin and Piano
Ruggiero Ricci has made a tasteful transcription for violin and piano of this very beautiful and tender nocturne.
